Whittier pushed across three runs in the top of the seventh to rally past Mystic Valley, 3-2. Steve Surette was hit by a pitch and scored on a Bill Lafferty double. Steve Clark walked but Lafferty was thrown out on a passed ball. Damian Colman smashed a deep triple to bring in Clark. Nate Allen singled in what proved to be the winning run.
With a runner on second, Lafferty ranged deep in the hole for the final out of the game.
