A successful season for Phillips Academy came to a crashing end after a 41-7 loss to Trinity-Pawling in the New England Class A Prep Super Bowl. It was the third straight title game loss for the Big Blue.
"Their line just dominated the game today," said Phillips head coach Leon Modeste. "We were overmatched. That was a different level of football."
Quarterback Bryan Farris' 2-yard run in the second quarter was the only score for Phillips, which finished the season at 7-2. Farris threw for 206 yards (17 of 31) but was intercepted four times.
The Big Blue had trouble containing Trinity-Pawling back Quendel Ellison who ran for 236 yards and all six touchdowns.
