According to coach Tom L'Italien, Newburyport played with a lot of heart in the second half, but down 18 at halftime, it was something the Clippers needed to do for 32 minutes as the team could not fight all the way back in the loss.
Tom Morris led Newburyport with 13 points and six rebounds. Joe Clancy had eight points, two rebounds, three assists, and six steals.
