Lawrence's Alex Suarez placed an area-leading fifth at the All-State pentathlon with a final score of 3,185 points. He placed third at the EMass. Division 1 pentathlon last week.
Right behind him on Thursday was Central Catholic's Evan Mills, who took eighth with 2,976 points. Over the weekend, he won the EMass. Division 2 title in the pole vault (11-0) and was third in the pentathlon.
