Timberlane ventured out to an old tournament and came in first at the John Gorman Invitational in Cumberland, R.I.
The Owls used their depth, placing eight wrestlers, to pile up 199 points, eight more than runner-up Bristol East. Pinkerton came in fourth with 131 1/2 points and North Andover came in 12th.
Connor McGonagle continued to dominate, winning the 132-pound title, while Nick Pallaria (138) and Antonio Pallaria (145) both were runner-up, with Antonio losing a one-point heartbreaker. Cody Wild (126) and John Leavitt (120) both came in third.
A surprise for the Owls was Tyler Paquin coming in fifth at 195. Konrad Parker (106) and Chris Lund (220) were both fourth.
"It was good to get a tournament win," said Timberlane coach Barry Chooljian. "We were losing until the medal round but then we finished strong."
For Pinkerton, Sterling McLaughlin won the 182-pound title while Tyler MacKiernan (152) and Robbie Fahey (220) were both runner-up. North Andover gott a first from Joey Valentino, who remained unbeaten at 126, and freshman Carson Milovanovic, who was fourth at 113.
