On an uncommon off-night that turned into Londonderry's first girls volleyball loss of the season, Brittany Buyck continued her solid play.
While the Lancers were hitting "at 'em" balls, according to head coach Peter Willis, and suffering many unforced errors against Winnacunnet, Buyck was a pillar of consistency. As the setter, she mastered up her sixth straight 20-assist effort.
"We've tried to get her to step up and be the floor leader and she's done a nice job," Willis said. "She's learning how to dish the ball around and change things up, and if we get her better passes we should get better finishes. It's a work in progress, but isn't it always?"
