ANDOVER — Sal Lupoli had another big day for Phillips Academy, but the results were far different for the Big Blue Saturday afternoon.
Facing a big and talented Salisbury School team, Phillips fell behind 32-0 at halftime and fell by a final 46-13 score to drop to 1-1.
Rahsul Faison, a PG, rushed for three touchdowns in the first half and led a dynamic rushing attack with more than 200 yards. Hurting the Big Blue's cause were two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Phillips scored on a Jake Bedell 50-yard run in the third quarter and a 12-yard run by Mike Thompson, Lupoli, meanwhile, rushed for 113 yards on 14 carries and had 11 solo tackles and an interception on defense.
Phillips will face another stern test next Saturday at Choate.
