North Andover senior goaie Tess McNamara has opened the season with six straight shutouts but she has to give a big-time "Thank you" to teammate Nicki Karalis, who kept that record in tact.

With just two minutes left during yesterday's 0-0 tie with Masconomet, McNamara came out to cut down a potential Masconomet score and watched the ball get behind her as a result of a Chieftain pass.

"She made the right move," said North Andover head coach Courtney Breen. "She committed to the ball and definately did what we was supposed to do as a goalie."

But Karalis came out of nowhere to make a diving stick save.

"I don't know how Nicki got back so fast," said Breen.
