BOSTON — The Andover High 4x200 team of Ally Bennett, Hope Joel, Hannah Lansberry and Delia Barbanti won the New England title Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track.
The quartet was clocked in a season-best 1:43.47, while runner-up Natick crossed the line in 1:43.86.
But the Andover relays had more up their sleeve. Lansberry, Emma Joel, Julianna Kennedy, Barbanti was second in the 4x400 in a speedy 3:55.48. That moves them to third place all-time in our area (indoor and outdoor) behind only a pair of other Golden Warrior foursomes: 3:54.05 in 2008 and last spring's 3:55.42.
The only other area placer was Pentucket hurdler Saige Tudisco who finished seventh in the 55-meter highs in 8.60.
