The Northern Essex volleyball team won two out of three matches in tournament play on Saturday. The Knights swept Mass. Bay, beat Morris 3-1 then were swept in their final match by Howard.
Brittany Birolini was a leader for the Knights. She had a team-high 20 aces in the first match, 10 digs in the second match and 12 more digs in the final match.
Salem's Rachel Amiss had a team-high 12 kills in the Match 2 victory, and Salem's Brittney Waller added nine aces in the Match 1 sweep.
