HILLSBOROUGH — Chris Hanna and the rest of the Sanborn seniors ended their careers on a high note.

Hanna paced the offense with 153 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, and the Indians shut out Hillsboro-Deering-Hopkinton 21-0 Saturday afternoon.

"I'm really happy for the seniors, this being our last game, to go out with a win," said Sanborn coach John Welch, whose team finished 4-4. "I thought our team improved a lot as the season went on."

It was a scoreless game at the half, but Hanna put Sanborn on the board first with a 2-yard touchdown run in the third.

Shaun Murphy had a 2-yard TD of his own later in the quarter, then Hanna put the game out of reach in the fourth with a 14-yard scamper for a score.

Murphy also had 98 yards on 11 carries.

Defensively for Sanborn, Matt Serrette came away with an interception, and Conor Jackson, Jonah George and Ben Soares all were credited with playing well.
