GROTON — North Andover’s Seamus Lambert found Merrimac’s Pat Freiermuth for a 60-yard touchdown early in the first quarter, and Brooks was off to the races from there, blowing out Groton 36-0 on Friday afternoon.
Brooks put up 20 points in the first quarter, following Freiermuth’s touchdown with a 2-yard scoring run by Nick Konovalchik and a 28-yard touchdown pass from Lambert to Terrell Brown. Brooks went up 29-0 going into halftime and then tacked on one more score in the third to finish the job.
“It was great to start fast, particularly coming off of the win last week,” said Brooks coach Pat Foley. “Terrell Brown had a great game on both sides of the ball and it was nice to see a few different guys run the ball hard, a real credit to our offensive line. The defensive was outstanding all day.”
Brooks (6-1) hosts Lawrence Academy next Saturday.
