MILTON — Brooks kept it close until midway through the third quarter but Milton Academy had too much offense and prevailed with a 34-19 Independent School League victory Saturday afternoon.
Michael Silva was the big weapon for Milton, scoring four touchdowns, including a 17-yard scamper for the only score in the first quarter. An 8-yard pass from North Andover's Seamus Lambert to Justin Donnelly early in the second quarter made it 7-6 for Milton but two Silva TDs before halftime made it 20-6 at intermission.
A 60-yard fumble return for a TD by Terrell Brown cut the gap to 20-13 early in the third but three straight Milton touchdowns put the game away. Brooks scored a final TD on a 43-yard pass play from Lambert to Brown.
Pat Freiermuth and North Andover's Owen Rosenberger led the defense for Brooks (1-1) with nine and eight tackles respectively.
