Central swims past Hillies

HAVERHILL — The Central Catholic swim team handed Haverhill its second loss of the year, posting a 102-84 win over the Hillies.

The Raiders improved to 9-2 and the hosts fell to 8-2.

Alyvvia Petrozza had a big afternoon for the winners. She took the 200 IM in 2:19.84 and the 100 butterfly in 1:00.10. She also teamed with Abigail Sullivan, Kerrigan Hemp and Kylie Dion to win the free relay. Sullivan also won two individual events while Hemp and Dion won one apiece.

Cecelia Burke had a big win in the diving for the Raiders with an impressive 294.45 to edge Hillie star Emily Driscoll (288.37). Meaghan Driscoll, Emily's cousin, provided a highlight by winning the 100 breaststroke.
