KINGSTON, N.H. — Sanborn scored 14 points in the third quarter to take command and then held on for a 31-21 victory over Hillsboro-Deering-Hopkinton to end their season, after winning three of its last five, with a 4-5 record.
Junior Shaun Murphy had a huge game for the Indians, rushing for 118 yards and three touchdowns and scoring another on a 19-yard pass from Brian McGough. That came in the third quarter and was followed by a 10-yard run by Chris Hanna, who added 107 yards on 14 carries.
McGough was 3 for 3 passing for 32 yards with Murphy getting all the receptions.
Hanna added to his offense with two interceptions and Noah Fioravante had a sack among a slew of tackles.
"Considering our injuries, it was a good season and I'm really proud of our seniors and how hard they worked," said Sanborn coach John Welch.
