Trailing after the first period and almost pinned, Haverhill 138-pounder Matt Coyne came back to pin Whittier's Nate Buzzell in the third period to highlight the Hillies' 49-24 victory over the Wildcats. Coyne was 3-0 on the day as Haverhill swept a quad-meet with Whittier, Franklin Tech and Greater Lowell.

Heavyweight Conrad Ortega had three pins for Whittier, which beat its other two opponents.
