Henderson leads way

Whittier celebrated the return to the lineup of Gavin Henderson, who had been out injured with a quad-meet sweep, beating Taunton, Woburn and Triton, the latter with its first loss of the year.

Henderson won all three of his matches, including two at 152 pounds. With Shaun Mears and Dan Madigan also going 3-0 at 160 and 170, the Wildcats were unbeaten in three straight weight classes. Whittier improved to 7-2.

"It was another great team effort," said Whittier coach Harry Takesian. "The kids are really wrestling well with six wins in a row. Hhopefully we can keep moving in the right direction."
