HAMPTON — Londonderry responded to an early deficit, but was unable to keep pace on the road in a 26-13 loss to Winnacunnet.
After spotting the Warriors an early 7-0 lead, the Lancers (3-5) bounced back on a 10-yard scoring run by Jake Stevens with 4:52 left, but Winnacunnet would score the ensuing 19 points for an insurmountable lead.
David Wiedenfeld, who hauled in seven of Stevens' 17 completions for a game-high 103 receiving yards, scored the game's final touchdown on a 1-yard run with 1:41 left in the third.
Stevens kept Londonderry in striking distance with a strong performance of 233 yards and no interceptions on 34 passing attempts
Jimmy Nee paced the defense with nine tackles while Eric Doran posted Londonderry's lone sack.
