AMHERST —There were some positives for Sanborn but not enough as Souhegan prevailed Friday night for a 29-14 victory.
After a fourth-quarter goal-line stand, Mike D'Amelio capped the scoring with a marathon 98-yard TD run.
"We played tough. We didn't give up. We had the goal-line stand. Defensive tackle Sean Kane had two of the stops," said Indians coach John Welch.
Linebacker Zack Matthews made nine tackles on the night and defensive back Cam McNeil also had a stellar game.
Sanborn's other points came on a Shawn Gowans 2-yard run to open the scoring.First Quarter
