Despite terrific pitching from Ravenne Nasser of Methuen, Phillips softball was eliminated in the semifinals of the 14th annual Big East Prep Invitational Softball Tournament.
Between a first-round 10-1 win over BB&N and a 1-0 semifinals loss to Nobles, Nasser allowed only two runs, one earned, on four hits, while striking out seven and walking five, (one intentional walk) in 13.1 innings. At the plate, Nasser went 4-fo-5, including hitting two doubles and a home run, while walking twice and driving in two runs.
Tabor won 4-1 over Nobles in the title game.
Brooks was eliminated in the first round, losing 9-0 to Nobles.
