PELHAM — Pelham's boys didn't need long to bounce back.
After a frustrating 20-point loss to Lebanon Tuesday night, the Pelham came back 24 hours later to trash ConVal, 76-47, last night.
"We didn't play very well against a good team (Lebanon), so it was nice to come right back with a game, rather than have a practice," said Pelham coach Matt Regan. "Now we'll have a practice with good vibes before our big game (vs. Windham) Friday."
The Pythons took a quarter to get in synch, leading just 11-10, before overwhelming ConVal with a 28-13 second quarter.
"We're a transition team and the shots just weren't falling in the first quarter," said Regan. "But we kept running, the shots started falling and I think we wore them down."
Sophomore forward Keith Brown led the way for Pelham (5-3) with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
"He's generally a perimter guy and is one of our best perimeter players but we asked him to go more on the low block tonight and he did a really nice job," said Regan.
Jake Vaiknoras backed up Brown with 15 points and junior Ryan Cloutier had a pair of 3-pointers and chipped in with 10 points.
"Hopefully, this will get us ready for Windham," said Regan. "That should be a sellout and a real war."
