With legendary Pelham baseball coach Joe Connors in town for the game, the Pythons advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since he was at the helm in 2005 with a 3-1 win at Newfound.
Wednesday at 4 p.m., Pelham will face Somersworth in the semis at Southern New Hampshire University.
Ryan Frank went the route for the win, a four-hitter in which he struck out 10.
"Honestly, he just came after the hitters," said Pelham coach Bill Beauchesne, who was a senior on that '05 team. "He threw strikes and made the pitches when he had to."
Jake Vaiknoras had two of Pelham's eight hit, including a mammoth fifth-inning solo homer.
