Last year's record: 11-10 (lost to Masconomet, 65-35, in Division 2 North first round)
Coach: Pat Veilleux (2nd season)
Key returnees: Cate DiNitto, Sr. F; Ashley Burnham, Sr. G/F; Danielle Sherry, Sr. G; Stephanie Costas, Sr. G/F; Erica Veilleux, Jr. G; Bailey Potter, Jr. G; Taylor Cross, Jr. F.
Key departures: Kayla Corbett.
Strengths: Depth. Danvers has four returning starters and three experienced bench players. The addition of some talented young players, including freshman Kellie Macdonald, who will bring some much-needed size to the team, has the Falcons looking like a team that can use multiple lineups without losing much.
Concerns: Experience. Pat Veilleux feels the experience factor is a double-edge sword. His returning players are familiar with his style of play and system, but they need to form a bond with the younger players to make it work.
Coach's outlook: "One of the issues last year was depth. We were very inconsistent. We're uptempo and with that type of tempo kids have a tendency to make more mistakes. Our decision making has to be better. We're hopeful about making the tournament and maybe we can improve on our place in the league. We were second last year with a 9-5 record."
