Marchand powers Knights

Jay Marchand scored just a minute into the game to give North Andover a lead it would never relinquish taking a 4-1 win from Danvers. Marchand scored with two minutes left in the first half as well as another in the final minutes of the game. With about 20 minutes left, goalkeeper Jack Hyman, who made 20 saves, made a key point-blank stop to thwart a goal that would have tied the score.

Despite strong defense from Kaleigh Hanes, Haverhill fell to Danvers, 14-3, in a non-league encounter. Sophomore Kailey Burke scored twice for the Hillies (1-1) and classmate Molly Gleason had their other goal.

two late goals: down 0-2. Frank Freedman, senior outside midfielder. Chris Horne senior left outside midfield (first varsity goal).

Fishermen, 1-1. all season, we've been in every game. Swampscott we had a goal called back, they would have been the champions. missed a PK in the first half. that's kinda the way our season has been, missed three penalties. 3-5-7, +1 goal differential. 3-6-9, -2. we've been competitive in every game, we've tied a lot of teams that are going to the tournament. taken a lot of teams to the brink. results haven't gone our way.

With nothing to play for but pride, the Fishermen (3-6-9 overall, 3-5-7 in the NEC) saved one of their finest performances of the season for the last game. Most impressively, Gloucester was down 2-0 on the road in the second half before making its comeback.

Gloucester field hockey blanks rival Danvers

The Gloucester field hockey team finished the first half of the season on a high note with a 4-0 victory over rival Danvers. Kat LaCroix and Olivia Frontiero had a goal and an assist each for Gloucester (6-2-1). Alisha Clayton added the other Fishermen goal and Marissa Drozd had an assist.
