After grabbing an early 2-0 lead, North Reading watched top-seeded Dover-Sherborn score the ensuing seven goals of the opening half.

And that was just the start for the Raiders as they opened a 13-2 advantage late in the third quarter en route to their first state title.

The Hornets, who also lost to D-S in last year's semifinals, got a pair of goals from Michael O'Brien to make the score more respectable.
