No. 2 North Reading lacrosse was behind 2-0 at halftime and 3-1 during the third as No. 15 Austin Prep played excellent defense, but the Hornets were able to generate offense in the third and won 8-4 in the first round of the Division 3 East tournament.
Mike O'Brien netted three goals and added one assist for North Reading, which will play No. 7 Archbishop Williams at 5 p.m. Monday at North Reading.
