The Lawrence girls tennis team opened its season with a 3-2 victory over Lowell. Karen Fangalaza and Monineath Khun won their singles matches and the second doubles team of Gladys Gitau and Emmy Garcia clinched it with a three-set victory. Fangalaza and Garcia are new players in the program.

Singles: 2. Karen Fangalaza 6-2, 2-6, 6-2; 3. Monineath Khun 6-0, 6-2
Doubles: 1. Gladys Gitau-Emmy Garcia 6-4, 1-6, 6-3
