Eric LaCroix and Jared McAdam each drew walks to lead off Methuen's half of the eighth inning. Lacroix then scored on a throwing error on the next play and the Rangers walked-off with a 2-1 win.
Methuen had just two hits while the Ranger pitching combo of Enrique Veras and Cameron Cyr allowed just five.
The defensive play of the game came in the third inning when Lacroix made a two-out, over-the-shoulder diving catch with the bases loaded.
"That was a game changer," said Methuen coach Eric Cyr. "If he doesn't make that catch, we don't win."
Methuen scored its first run in the second inning when Cam Conway's sacrifice fly scored Matt Bauchman.
