Kristy Erickson booted a corner kick that went in off a Somerville defender for an own goal and Methuen held on for a 1-0 victory. Courtney Zacharias (3 saves) got the shutout. The Rangers, who finished up 6-12, got reason to be optimistic for the future as freshmen Meghan Murphy, Kaleigh Forgetta, Jenna O'Malley, Renee Cormier and Kayla Harrington turned in strong games.
