Seawards (4 TDs), Dover rough up Owls

PLAISTOW — The good news is this one didn't mean anything for the playoffs and Timberlane rested several key players.

The bad news is Dover whipped the Owls, 56-21.

"We had some guys out who had been banged up," said Owls coach Kevin Fitzgerald, whose club lost to Spaulding, 45-8, last week. "Obviously, we'd like to have been playing better heading into the playoffs. Both teams played a lot of JVs in the second half."

Kyle Seawards scored four touchdown in the first half including two in the final minute to give the Green Wave (7-3, 7-1 Division 2) a 29-6 lead at the break.

The Owls' first half points came on an 8-yard pass from Evan Bidgood to Efrain Rolon.

Timberlane (5-5, 4-4 Division 2) will play Bishop Guertin in the Division 2 semifinals. It's tentatively set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at Stellos Stadium.
