On a chilly evening at North Andover High School, the Div. 3 North girls soccer bracket was whittled down to the final two teams.

Newburyport prevailed over Lynnfield, but Georgetown fell to Ipswich in overtime.

Pentucket couldn't hold on to a two-goal halftime lead as it tied Lynnfield, 2-2. The Sachems' (4-5-1) midfield was the story with Hillary Biggs netting a goal and an assist, while Sarah Selig was strong defensively.

The Hornets ran into a tough Lynnfield team. Senior defender Molly Osborne and junior midfielder Hannah Dumont played well in defeat.

Facing a 1-0 halftime deficit, North Andover scored two second half goals to take a 2-1 win over Lynnfield. Melissa Arn and Jen Pino notched goals for the Scarlet Knights (7-1) while Ashley Lambers dished out an assist. Midfielders Jackie Sullivan, Tara Donahue and Kelly Cardinal excelled while goalie Maya Miatkowski had nine saves.

North Reading scored three first half goals en route to a 3-1 win over rival Lynnfield. Jill Melanson scored a goal and had an assist and North Reading defenders Alex Moise, Amanda Poplaski and Claire Kuehnel played well in front of goalie Erin Brooks, who notched 10 saves.

Hamilton-Wenham (1-1) held on to a one-goal lead to secure a 2-1 win over Lynnfield (0-2). Goalie Emily Helming scooped up 18 saves and Bianca Vecchiarello and Kristen Brao put two past Lynnfield's keeper to earn the victory.

Kayla Jernegan scored twice and Erica Giovaniello added an insurance marker as Ipswich cruised to a 3-1 win over Lynnfield. Tess Falabella, Melanie McFayden and Elita Nicholson set up the Ipswich goals, while Lia Webb made 18 saves in the win.
