Pentucket beats Amesbury in role reversal for field hockey programs

A pair of Lyndsay Beaton goals was the difference in an evenly played game as Pentucket beat Amesbury, 2-0.

After leading 1-0 at halftime, the Sachems put the finishing touches on the Indians off Sarah Galligan's penalty corner. Beaton sent her second goal home, and the Indians couldn't find any scoring of their own.

Three second-half goals lead Indians over Clippers

The first half of last night's River Rivals field hockey game between Newburyport and Amesbury saw the Indians pounding the ball away at the Clippers' defense and goalie Haley Morris.

Yet at the break, there were still zeroes on the scoreboard. That would soon change as senior captain Kendall Connors broke the scoring drought about four minutes into the second half, and eventually again later in the half, sparking a 3-0 Amesbury victory at James J. Landry Stadium last night.
