Merrimack College players Jeff Bercume, Ryan McNeil and Brendan Pyburn were named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference baseball team.
Bercume, a first-team selection, was fourth in the conference with a .385 batting average, while leading the league with 23 steals. He added five homers, 46 RBIs, and a .447 on-base percentage, all tops on the Warriors. The centerfielder departs the program with 230 hits, most in school history, while earning three first-team all-conference selections.
McNeil became the ace and the ironman of the staff this season, posting a 6-2 record with four saves and a 2.39 E.R.A. in 67.2 innings. Pyburn, an all-conference selection for the second straight season, was second to Bercume with a .299 batting average and led the team with 35 runs and 17 walks.
Junior Alex Shumway made it five for five at third singles in North Andover's 4-1 boys tennis win at Ipswich.

Ryan Keenan and Charlie Knowlton won their first doubles match (3-6, 7-6, 7-5) for Newburyport. Tony Dube and Hunter Seabrook won at second doubles (6-4, 6-3).

Peter O'Neill won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, and Rachel Muller won 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 in first doubles for the girls. The Knights were a perfect 4-0 in doubles play. Pentucket's Ryan Swanson won 4-6, 6-4, 3-1 in first singles when Alan Nguyen was forced to retire due to injury.
