John Stark 15, Pelham 7

Despite the absence of goalie Brittany Fadden (illness) and Sarah DeBaldo (yellow cards), Pelham performed well in a 15-7 loss to John Stark. Freshman Jenn Peet stepped into the Python net and turned aside nine shots and got good defensive support from Keri Foley and Cassandra Costello. Christine Downs drove the offense, scoring twice including a highlight-reel, end-to-end rush for a score.

Silver lining

Pelham girls lacrosse fell to 0-4 with yesterday's 16-9 loss to Kingswood, but after several tweaks, the Pythons are starting to put up some respectable offensive numbers, as evidenced by the hat tricks registered by both Kalli Riddinger and Alex Catalano.
