Londonderry eliminated

MANCHESTER, N.H. — The power of the Mohawk, which nearly every member of the Londonderry baseball team was sporting, simply wasn’t enough.

The Lancers loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh but they fell short against No. 3 Keene, losing 2-1 in yesterday’s Class L semifinal at Gill Stadium.

Lancers moving on

No. 2 Londonderry downed No. 10 Manchester Central, 6-1, in yesterday's Class L quarterfinals. Sean Caron and Geoff Fisher racked up two hits apiece, and 15-year-old Kasey Carollo held Central to just one hit to set up Tuesday's 4 p.m. contest against third-seeded Keene at Holman Stadium.

Caron, Lancers slay Spaulding

Sean Caron went 2 for 4 with six RBIs and two runs scored as Londonderry dropped Spaulding, 12-0, in the Class L first round. Caron smashed a 3-run homer in the first and also had a bases-clearing double in the third. Dan Lagasse racked up three hits and Jake Finnegan fanned five in four innings to get the win. It was a very meaningful win for coach Brent Demas, who registered his 100th career victory.

Three-star performance for Lagasse

Dan Lagasse accounted for all of Londonderry's runs in a 3-1 win over Spaulding. Lagasse (2 for 3) had a two-run double in the first and followed that with an RBI single in the third. The Lancers knocked out eight hits on their way to a 17-2 regular season finish.  Sean Caron also had two hits in the win.

Brothers Jake (7 innings, 2 hits, 7 strikeouts) and Brian Finnegan (1 for 2, home run, RBI, run scored) were instrumental in Londonderry's 7-0 romp over Dover. Sean Caron had a big day at the dish, going 3 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Jake Finnegan whiffed nine as he tossed seven innings of no-hit, three-walk ball to lead Londonderry past Timberlane, 7-0. Coach Brent Demas believes it's the first no-hitter in the history of the Lancers program. Chris Verryt and Dan Lagasse had a pair of RBIs apiece, and both Kyle Neverman and C.J. Flanders collected four hits for the winners.

Lancers lash out at B.G.

Londonderry crushed Bishop Guertin, 12-0, behind multi-hit games from Kyle Neverman (3 for 5), Jake Finnegan (2 for 3) and Sean Caron (3 for 5). Neverman drove in three runs and Finnegan and Caron each tallied a pair. Kasey Carollo limited the Cardinals to two hits over seven innings while striking out seven and walking just two.

Neverman lifts Lancers

Little did Kyle Neverman know when he was wreaking havoc offensively that he was putting himself, not just his team, in position to lock down a Londonderry baseball win.
Neverman had two hits, two stolen bases, two RBIs and scored two runs, but ultimately saved the win and knocked off previously winless Keene with 22/3 innings of superb relief in a 7-6 Lancer thriller.
Neverman, who picked up the win in relief of Jake Finnegan, got a huge lift from C.J. Flanders, who slapped a two-run single in the fourth.
