Raider duo take two

Central Catholic's Julia Turrisi won the pole vault (8-6) and high jump (5-0) and fellow raider Macy Daigle took the triple jump (33-0) and 400 (62.7) to lead the way at the Merrimack Valley Conference North Invitational. North Andover's Olivia Siwicki took the 100 hurdles (17.7) and 400 hurdles (62.7). Haverhill's Sydney Vets won the mile (5:55).

Newman big win

Olivia Siwicki won the long jump and 400 hurdles and Lindsey Newman had a big 34-3.5 to win the triple jump as North Andover blitzed Haverhill. For the Hillies, Gianna Spero swept the sprints.

North Andover girls repeat

The North Andover girls repeated as MSTCA Relays champs with 81 points. The Scarlet Knights won the distance medley (13:08.54), 4x1600 (22:44.57), discus (292-1) and shot put (103-7).
"Wellesley was the indoor relay champ, edging us out by five points and the state champ as well so beating them today was a quality win," said Scarlet Knights head coach Rick DelleChiaie. "We stayed as close as we could in the running events and tried to take them in the field events, which we did." 
Central Catholic placed fifth (33 points), led by a second in the high jump (14-6).

Jenna Bard had a breathtaking throws triple win including a historic 41-0.5 in the shot put to power North Andover over Central Catholic 81-64. She also had a  superb 113-7 discus.

Shelby Nassar won the 100 dash (13.71) and Megan Rozzi took the 200 (28.62) to lead North Andover to a 128-13 win over Methuen. Miana Caraballo earned the Rangers' lone win, taking the 2-mile (11:26.82).
