Raiders on to finals

The Central Catholic girls hockey team had five different goal scorers and got 21 saves from goalie Liz Smith to take down Framingham, 5-2, in the first round of the Inclusion Cup Tournament. The Raiders will now play Algonquin in the tourney finals on Thursday at 2:20 p.m.

Surging HPNA rolls

 

The Haverhill/Pentucket/North Andover girls hockey team continued to roll, blanking Central Catholic 7-0. Hannah Keating and Eliana Kane both scored twice for HPNA and Jenny Hubbard got her second shutout in two games and fourth of the season.

Jackson the hero for Central

With just 40 seconds left, Casey Jackson rushed the length of the ice and deked the opposing goalie to score the game-winning goal in Central Catholic's thrilling 2-1 win over Billerica-Chelmsford. Britnei Curley scored her first goal of the season for the Raiders, and Liz Smith (25 saves) made some clutch stops down the stretch.
