LAWRENCE — Above all else, Lawrence coach Jesus Moore is looking for one thing from his squad.

"We have to be more consistent," said Moore Friday night.

LAWRENCE – A week ago, Lawrence had just gone through one of its worst four-day stretches of the century.

Three wins in the most recent four-day stretch, however, has the Lancers fixing what ailed them.

It was a career day for Angel Herrera, who dropped 24 points with six 3s to lead Lawrence to a 76-57 win over Charlestown. Gabriel Zorrilla scored 12 points and added 15 rebounds and 5 blocks.

LAWRENCE – Entering the season, the boys at Haverhill appeared capable of getting payback on some Merrimack Valley Conference opponents who have had their way with the Hillies the better part of this century.

Despite 19 points and a whopping 22 rebounds from Gabriel Zorrilla, Lawrence fell to Dracut 70-68. "It was a (tourney) hangover like last year," said Lawrence coach Jesus Moore. 

Noah Tejada scored 10 points and added seven rebound and seven assists to help Lawrence down Lowell Catholic 82-73. Angel Herrera added 14 points and Gabriel Zorrilla had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Yes, it was only the season opener, but the Lancers took turns drilling 3-pointers in a 77-57 victory over North Andover Friday night and, overall, had 12 trifectas on 29 attempts.
