Alex Durham was a menace at the net, recording 25 kills and five blocks to lead Andover to a 3-1 win over North Andover.

Andover boys volleyball got a 3-1 win over Billerica, thanks to some big contributions from Alex Durham. Durham led the way with 13 digs and, along with Jyles Amirault, had a team-high of 15 kills.

Connor Buscema had an impressive eight aces and also led Haverhill with 13 digs as the Hillies defeated Andover in four sets. Fritz Kleiner had 12 kills for Haverhill. 

Trailing two sets to none, senior captain Alex Durham and sophomore Jyles Amirault came alive at the net to lead Andover to a gritty 3-2 comeback win over Methuen. Durham finished with 19 kills and 6 blocks, and Amirault had 14 service points, 12 digs and 4 aces.

North Andover volleyball came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Andover, 3-2, for its first win of the season. David Soskov notched 11 blocks, Jacob Colon had 22 service points and Eric Doherty had 19 kills and five aces for the Knights. Andover's Troy Kennedy led all players with 32 assists and Zach Dutton had 27 digs for the Warriors.

Trailing Southern Maine Community College 4-0 after four innings, Northern Essex rallied back to tie thw game and then prevailed in 10 innings, 5-4. Riley Magee had a key RBI double in a three-run fifth and Lawrence's Alex Almonte tied the game in the bottom of the ninth when he tripled and scored on a throwing error. Mike Goodin picked up the win throw 3.2 of scoreless relief, striking out 4.

Alex Nadeau scored 18 service points and Kevin Stevenson had eight kills as Central Catholic beat Andover 25-13, 25-23, 25-13. Alex Durham led the Golden Warriors with 18 kills.

Defending MVc champion Lawrence opened its volleyball season with a sweep of Andover. Adryan Espinal led the Lancers with 13 kills.
