Defender Riley Roche moved to goalie for the second time in her career after Pentucket's starter was injured, and turned in nine saves as the Sachems beat Marblehead 2-0.

The Amesbury girls soccer team punched its ticket to the state tournament in admittedly anticlimatic fashion on Monday, playing Pentucket to a 0-0 tie to improve to 8-3-2 on the season. Alli Napoli made seven saves to record the shutout, and Pentucket (7-4-3) is now also one win away from qualifying for the postseason as well.

Pentucket freshman Annabelle Sylvanowicz came through again for the Sachem girls soccer team, scoring her second game-winning goal of the season in Monday's 1-0 win over North Reading. The goal came in the second half and was assisted by Syeira Campbell.

Freshman forward Annabelle Sylvanowicz played a major role in Pentucket girls soccer's comeback over Ipswich, drawing a foul in the box that led to Jacey Jennings' game-tying goal and then scoring the winner herself to give the Sachems a 2-1 win. Pentucket has now won three games in a row and is 3-2-1 on the year.

Pentucket girls soccer won its second straight game, beating Georgetown 5-1. Mackenzie Currie scored twice to lead the way after also scoring four goals in Saturday's win over Methuen. Jacey Jennings, Tess Graham and Greta Maurer scored the other goals for Pentucket.
