It was a terrific season for the Pinkerton boy's tennis team, but it ended one win short of its ultimate goal. The Astros (16-1) suffered their only loss of the season on Tuesday, but it just happened to be to powerhouse Bedford, 5-4, in the state championship game.

In a battle of unbeatens, Pinkerton (13-0) stunned Bedford 5-4 in boys tennis. Henry Su and Henry Andrews both won at singles and combined to win their doubles match.Bedford is the five-time defending Division 1 champion and had won 110 straight matches.

Thanks to wins at first four singles, the Pinkerton boys tennis team stayed undefeated (11-0) after a 6-3 win over Exeter (8-2). Seb Tonini, John Marineau, Henry Su and Henry Andrews picked up those singles wins, then teamed up to take first and second doubles.

Pinkerton whipped Nashua South, 8-1, to improve to 9-0. Seb Tonini, John Marineau, Henry Su and Henry Andrews all won at singles and doubles.

Pinkerton swept Memorial, 6-0, winning all the singles with the doubles being rained out. Seb Tonini, Henry Su, John Marineau and Henry Andrews won at Nos. 1-4 all by 8-0 scores.
