Methuen tennis falls to Boston Latin Academy

The Methuen boys tennis team fell to Boston Latin Academy 4-1 in Thursday's Division 1 North Quarterfinals. The second doubles tandem of Kevin Yassini and Albert Kim were the Rangers' lone winners, winning a marathon match 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (10-7).

Clutch Crowninshield

Chris Crowninshield won a 6-4, 6-4 marathon which took 2:45. At that point the match was tied so the freshman was the hero, giving Methuen a 3-2 win over Malden Catholic. He also clinched the win in an early-season match.

Crowinshield clinches it

After a tough tiebreaker loss in Methuen's first match of the year against Chelmsford, freshman Chris Crowninshield delivered a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) tiebreak victory to not only earn his first varsity win, but to help the Rangers beat Tyngsborough 3-2 and remain undefeated.
