Pinkerton baseball scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning, and Richard Marique pitched six scoreless innings to help the Astros beat Alvirne 9-0 in Thursday's Division 1 First Round matchup.

Mike Jellison belted a three-run homer in the sixth and that was all that winning pitcher Richard Marique and Pinkerton needed in a 3-0 win over Bishop Guertin. Marique allowed just one hit over six innings. Derek Hiscox got the save.

David Unkles was nearly unhittable, firing a 1-hitter with six strikeouts, as Pinkerton blanked North 2-0. Brian Sutton went 2 for 2 with a run and an RBI.

Pinkerton got great pitching from Asa Runge, Derek Hiscox and Mat Albetski, who combined to hold Keene to just one hit in the Astros' 2-0 win over the Owls.

Richard Marique, Mat Albetski and David Unkles combined for nine innings of 3-hit baseball on the mound for Pinkerton, and the Astros walked off in the bottom of the ninth to earn a 3-2 win over Dover.

Matt Clark led the way going 3-for-4 with two RBIs to help Pinkerton defeat archrival Londonderry 8-7 in eight innings. Tied 5-5 going into extras, the Astros scored two in the top of the eighth, and the Lancers could not respond in the bottom half.

Senior Mike Jellison went 3-for-3 with a 3-run home run and four RBIs to lead Pinkerton to a 9-6 win over Nashua North. Junior pitcher David Unkles picked up his first varsity win.
