Eamon Barrett and John Baker each notched a pair of goals though the Crusaders (6-10) couldn't overcome an early hole and fell to Archbishop Williams 9-4. Craig Forrest made 12 stops in net to give Fenwick a chance, but his counterpart in the Archbishop Williams was equal to the task and stymied the Crusader attack.

The Crusaders (5-7) trailed 9-4 at the break and couldn't get as much offense as they needed in the second half in falling to AC 13-8. Pat Doliber scored twice and dished out four assists to pace the Fenwick attack while Joe Flaherty had a hat trick, Eamon Barrett notched a goal with an assist and Mike Buonfiglio and Joe Gardinoli added single goals.

Pat Doliber assisted on Eamon Barrett's game-winner to collect the 100th point of his career Saturday as Fenwick (5-6) broke a late 4-4 tie to top Matignon 5-4. Doliber also had two goals and Mike Buonfiglio collected a goal as the Crusaders led 3-1 at half before Matignon came roaring back.

The Crusaders (4-6) showed their mettle in rallying from a 6-2 halftime deficit, but Williams hung on for the 9-7 victory. Pat Doliber and Eamon Barrett notched hat tricks to pace Fenwick's offense while Craig Forrest made 18 saves in net.

Sophomore Joey Flaherty got his first varsity goal and didn't stop there, recording a hat trick to pace the Crusaders (4-4) over St. Mary's 6-4. Pat Doliber added a goal and an assist and goalie Craig Forrest stopped 15 shots to make an early 5-1 lead stand up.

The Pioneers held an 8-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter and were able to hold off Bishop Fenwick's rally as the Crusders fell 11-9.

Brandon Ballard, Eamon Barrett, Jordan Mizioch and Mike Buonfiglio all scored two goals for the Crusaders (3-3) whle Pat Doliber added a goal and three assists and Craig Forrest stopped 21 shots in net.

It might have looked dark and gloomy in the skies above Bishop Fenwick's lacrosse field yesterday afternoon. The results on the field, though, were anything but as the Crusaders opened the 2008 season with an 18-7 romp over Northeast Regional.
