Windham avenged an earlier softball loss to nearby rival Pelham with a come-from-behind 9-8 victory in eight innings, largely due to the clutch hitting of Heather Tornquist. She had a two-run single in the third and a game-tying two-run double in the seventh. Lauren Rogers knocked in Ashley Adamson with a sacrifice fly in the eighth for the winning run. Pelham's struggling softball team put it all together to upset defending Division 2 state champion, Coe-Brown 6-4, grabbing the win in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run homer by Alex Hall against ace Corrine Lemauk. Red-hot freshman Melissa Mogauro was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Jordan Parece threw a four-hitter for the win.
