The Falcons' leading scorer, senior captain Ashley Sullivan, had a pair of goals and an assist as her team rolled to a 5-0 victory at Lynn Classical.

Sullivan now has seven goals and four assists on the season.

Freshman Brittany Russo scored the game's only goal 37 minutes into the first half off an assist from Chrissy Barrows as the Falcons knocked off Salem, 1-0.

Danvers, which won for the eighth time in nine games, got some fine play from goalkeeper Kasey Kellard, who earned her third shutout of the fall after making 13 saves.

BEVERLY | There was a sense of urgency for the Danvers High girls soccer team to get back on track after suffering its first loss this past weekend.

Before yesterday's game with Beverly, Falcons' head coach Jimmy Hinchion talked to his players about regaining their focus and finding a way back into the win column. His words worked wonders as the visitors scored once in each half to knock off the Panthers, 2-0.

Brittany Russo scored twice to help Danvers best Revere 5-1. Ashley Sullivan also had a pair of goals and Christine Kaczynski scored once for the winners.

Danvers rolled past Saugus 4-1. Kelli Getchell, Christie Kaczynski, Brittany Russo and Lindsey Dattoli each scored goals for the Falcons, who improved to 4-0. Becky Landers also played very well for Danvers.

Danvers defeated Bishop Fenwick 2-1. Ashley Sullivan and Casey King scored for the Falcons and Kristin Verrette scored for the Crusaders. Brittany Russo and Jackie Gauthier added assists for the Falcons.

DANVERS | It may have been the first game of the 2007 season for both teams, but it's always a big game when Danvers and Swampscott meet in girls soccer.

Danvers and Swampscott are two teams that traditionally battle it out for the top spot in the Northeastern Conference. The past two years they have finished first and second, respectively, and both were looking to gain an edge by winning that first meeting last night.
