John Braga's goal in the ninth round of penalty kicks sent No. 13 North Reading into the quarterfinals of the Division 3 North tourney with a 2-1 shootout win over No. 4 Hamilton-Wenham.

Tyler Stanieich scored a pair of goals to give North Reading a 3-0 victory over Austin Prep, earning the Hornets a berth in the tournament.

Tyler Stanieich scored the game winning with 15 minutes left and North Reading held on to win against Newburyport 3-2. Dan Herman has two goals in the game.

Paxton Sedler scored the game winning goal with 30 seconds left for Pentucket against North Reading. Josh Croteau had the assist on the goal and Pentucket won by a score of 2-1.

 Led by Andover's Tom Andie (38) and Atkinson's Nick Pandelena (39), the St. John's Prep golf team beat Danvers 227-262 to improve to 6-2.

After stopping Wilmington's effective counterattacking, North Reading went to work offensively and ended the Wildcats' Cape Ann League unbeaten streak at 27 games (20-0-7), winning 3-0. Julius Dengenhardt and Tommy Dixon each scored their first varsity goals with ample help from Chris Schipelliti, the "engine" of the Hornet offense according to head coach Mark Bisognano.

After being down at halftime, North Reading boys soccer stormed back in the second half, beating Ipswich 2-1. Ryan Finch and Tyler Stanieich scored the goals for North Reading.

After a half-hour delay due to lightning, Mother Nature finally pulled the plug on North Reading's 0-0 deadlock with Hamilton-Wenham with 19:20 left to play. Senior defender Nick Moscaritolo did his best to preserve the tie, shoring up the Hornet backline and coming up with several key 1-on-1 tackles late in the contest.
