Knotted at 70-70 headed into the final event, North Reading girls track coach Sotirios Pintzopoulos felt the meet the was in pretty good hands. "We had our best relay team of the year ready to go," she said of the Hornets 4x400. A strong opening leg by Nicole Cecchini put the Hornets in contention. Triple jump winner Brittany Angiolillo took the baton on the second leg and turned a deficit into a lead - one which Emily Shaw and Tori Pearce - extended for the win, a fine 4:33.6 clocking and the meet victory over Newburyport. Angiolillo, who took second in the long jump, and Shaw, took the triple and high jumps, respectively. Kristy Conway doubled up, winning the pole vault and 200 meters.
