A nice ending

The perfect way to finish a season, as zero fielding errors and timely hits earned Timberlane a 7-0 win over Nashua South. Danny Travaglini made a unbelievable running catch into right-center field in the first inning and turned it into a double play. Lucas Alper had the Owls' big offensive contribution, a bases-clearing double as part of a five-run seventh.

Nashua South 5, Salem 4

Three errors cost Salem dearly, allowing Nashua South to score five unearned runs in a 5-4 victory. Nick Poore excelled once again, following a no-hit performance with a four-hit, 12-strikeout effort. Joe Morin stroked a pair of doubles and plated a run while Darren Brown contributed a two-run single for the Blue Devils. The top four hitters in the Salem lineup had all 10 hits on the day.

Just a single shy

Continuing his athletic excellence on the baseball diamond, Zach Mathieu came within a single of the cycle, driving in four runs including a two-run homer as part of Pinkerton's five-run, game-tying sixth inning. However, Nashua South erupted for six in the top of the seventh to secure a 14-10 victory.
