North Reading got goals from six different players assists from seven players in a 6-2 decision over Amesbury. Kyle Anderson and Chris Leslie both had a goal and two assists.

Despite Nick Pascucci's first career varsity goal and an aggressive third period team effort, North Reading fell to Masconomet, 5-4, in the opening round of the Roy Condon Cup tourney. Freshmen Cam Knight and Tommy Potter also added goals for the Hornets.

Jack Hyman's second period score was the only dent in goalie Ben Harrow's armor as North Andover handed North Reading its second straight one-goal loss, 1-0. Harrow was brilliant with 31 saves, getting big backline help from freshman Nick Pascucci and senior Ricky Schaffer. The Scarlet Knights got strong efforts from sophomore Dan O'Connor and 8th grader Tyler Sifferlen in front of netminder Tyler Morandi (13 saves).

Methuen freshman Matt Bauchman tallied his first career varsity point just moments into the game, then scored his first varsity goal a period later to send the Rangers to a season-opening 2-1 victory over North Reading yesterday afternoon.
